Massive Drug Seizure in Narcotics Raid

Rapar police have seized a large quantity of poppy husk (posdoda) in Gedi village, Rapar Taluka and arrested multiple individuals in connection with the case. The operation was carried out based on confidential information received by the police.

The first raid targeted Parbat Panchabhai Sindhav (Rajput), aged 41, a resident of Gedi village. His house, along with the residence of Visha Madeva Rathod (Rajput) and his farm in Sarangiya, was searched. During the operation, 37.420 kg of poppy husk worth ₹1,12,260 and 58.420 kg of plant-based narcotics worth ₹1,75,260 were seized. Sindhav was taken into custody under the NDPS Act.

Following further investigation, another raid was conducted at Kuyara Wadi area in Gedi village. Pachan Sura Rathod (Rajput) was found cultivating poppy husk illegally. Police seized 18 kg of poppy husk worth ₹54,000 from his farm.

The raids were led by PI V.A. Sengal of Gagodar Police Station, along with teams from Gagodar and Rapar Police. Both accused are now under legal custody, and further investigations are ongoing to uncover more links in the illegal narcotics trade.
