Humanitarian Karan Kumar Bhuyan Honoured for Outstanding Social Service

Karan Kumar Bhuyan has been widely recognized for his remarkable humanitarian work and dedication to community welfare, positively impacting thousands of lives through various social initiatives. Known for his compassion and leadership, he has consistently worked for the upliftment of underprivileged communities, especially during times of crisis.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions, the International Human Rights Council honoured him with the prestigious Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Award and Bal Gangadhar Tilak Award. The awards acknowledged his large-scale food distribution drives that benefited over 5,000 needy individuals, as well as his active participation in tree plantation campaigns promoting environmental sustainability.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Bhuyan organized relief efforts and distributed free food to more than 3,000 people, providing support to families struggling for basic necessities. His work brought hope and assistance during one of the most difficult periods in recent history.

He also launched the humanitarian initiative “Manuhe Manuhor Babe” (Humanity for Humanity), through which food and essential aid were provided to homeless and destitute individuals. Another notable program, “Briddhya Pitri Matri Sewa,” focused on supporting elderly residents in old-age homes with food, essential supplies, and emotional care.

Apart from social service, Bhuyan has contributed to the cultural field by honouring artists from the Assamese mobile theatre industry through the MAHANADA SHARMA Award. He has also supported campaigns against child marriage and promoted education and social awareness.

Through his tireless efforts in social welfare, environmental care, cultural recognition, and humanitarian service, Karan Kumar Bhuyan continues to inspire society with his commitment to creating positive change.
