BSF Boosts Border Schools with Civic Action Program

Sports Equipment and Support Provided to 10 Schools in Kutch

To instill a sense of national security in the villages of the border areas of Kutch and to restore missing equipment in schools, the Border Security Force (BSF) organizes Civic Action Programs at different locations every year. In line with this initiative, the 21st Battalion of BSF, under the Sector Headquarters in Dantiwada, conducted a Civic Action Program in the border village of Bela, located in the Vagad region.

As part of this program, BSF distributed various kits to 10 schools, including Bela and its surrounding villages. To promote the well-being of students and enhance school facilities, BSF provided sports equipment worth ₹1,50,000, including footballs, carrom boards, chess sets, and other sports gear. These contributions aim to encourage physical activity and recreation among school children in remote border areas.

BSF takes immense pride in contributing to the development of border villages, as Civic Action Programs are organized annually to support the growth and welfare of these regions. The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Commandant Charat Singh Tomar, Deputy Commander Mahavir Singh, Inspector Raisingh Meena, OFG Coy Commander BOP Bela, and Inspector Ramlal Pant. Additionally, local representatives such as Bela village Sarpanch Hetubha Vaghela, Jatawada Sarpanch Hareshbhai Patel, and Movana Sarpanch Jaiveer Singh were present. The program also witnessed the participation of school principals, teachers, students, and a large number of local villagers, reflecting the strong community engagement and appreciation for BSF’s efforts.
