Trump’s Gaza Plan Sparks Global Backlash
Controversial Proposal Faces Rejection from Arab Nations and Experts

US President Donald Trump recently unveiled a new plan to resolve the Israel-Palestine conflict, proposing the evacuation of Gaza and resettling its people in Egypt, Jordan, and other Arab countries. However, this plan has sparked global controversy, facing strong opposition from Palestinians, Arab nations, and international experts. Even close US allies like Jordan and Saudi Arabia have outright rejected it. Experts in international law and US policy have also condemned the plan, calling it impractical and against the two-state solution, which has long been recognized by much of the world. Analysts warn that this move could destabilize the region and escalate tensions in Palestine and across the Arab world.
According to Firstpost, Trump’s plan essentially kills the two-state solution, which envisions separate nations for Jews (Israel) and Arabs (Palestine). The US has historically supported this approach, but Trump has completely dismissed it. His proposal also violates international law, as forcibly expelling Palestinians would break fundamental legal principles.
Experts argue that even though Trump has announced this plan, implementing it would be nearly impossible. Gaza is home to over two million people, including thousands of fighters from Hamas, PIJ, and other armed groups. The US has no practical means to forcibly remove them. International relations expert Hussein warns that if the US attempts to expel Palestinians from Gaza, it will ignite violent resistance, similar to what America faced in Afghanistan.
A conflict in Gaza would not remain localized—it would spread across the Middle East, as Palestinians hold deep emotional and historical significance for the region. Even Arab nations that have previously aligned with the US and Israel, such as Saudi Arabia and Jordan, would likely be forced to distance themselves. Supporting the US in such a move could provoke mass uprisings in the Arab world, making it politically unfeasible for these nations to back Trump’s plan.
