Man Who Threatened Salman Khan with ₹5 Crore Extortion Arrested; Accused a Vegetable Vendor from Jamshedpur

On October 12, prominent Mumbai politician Baba Siddique was tragically murdered, and shortly after, Bollywood actor Salman Khan received a threat as well. Due to this, Salman Khan’s security has been heightened. Recently, the actor was threatened again, with a demand for ₹5 crore, warning that if not paid, his fate would be worse than Baba Siddique’s. Following these threatening messages, the Mumbai Police took swift action, and they have now arrested the individual responsible for the threats. The accused was apprehended in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, and is reportedly a vegetable vendor.

Last week, a threatening message was sent to Salman Khan, with a demand for ₹5 crore via a message sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police’s WhatsApp helpline number. The name of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was mentioned in the message. During the investigation, another message followed, stating that the previous message was sent by mistake. The police traced the origin of the threatening message to Jharkhand, and a police team was sent to investigate. The Mumbai Police have now arrested the suspect in Jamshedpur. According to police reports, the accused is a vegetable seller.

The threatening message sent to Salman Khan read: “If Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end his enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, he must pay ₹5 crore. If not, his fate will be worse than Baba Siddique’s.”
