Stone Pelting and Vandalism on Train to Mahakumbh in Prayagraj

Reports have surfaced of miscreants attacking a train traveling from Jhansi to Prayagraj for the Mahakumbh. The incident, which occurred at Harpalpur station in the Jhansi division, involved stone pelting and vandalism, with videos of the attack going viral on social media. Passengers aboard the train were left terrified as the attackers attempted to break into the coaches, damaging windows and doors.

The incident took place on train number 11801, Veerangana Laxmibai Express, heading from Jhansi to Prayagraj. A large crowd had gathered at Harpalpur station to board the train, but when passengers inside did not open the doors, the situation escalated. Angered, the crowd started throwing stones and vandalizing the train, leading to panic among passengers, including women and children traveling for Mahakumbh.

Eyewitnesses reported that around 8-10 masked individuals were involved in the attack, attempting to harm passengers. Fortunately, those inside the train managed to close the doors in time, preventing serious injuries. The incident occurred between 10-11 PM last night.

Authorities are now identifying the attackers through CCTV footage. Videos recorded by witnesses are also being used as evidence. Immediate action was taken, and the train was dispatched promptly to ensure the safety of passengers. Further investigations are underway to bring the culprits to justice.
