The recent events in Meerut could easily inspire a gripping web series. Not long ago, the dramatic kidnapping of popular comedian Sunil Pal, who resides in Mumbai, made headlines. Strangely, his abductors not only apologized but also gave him ₹20,000 before releasing him. Allegedly, they used part of an ₹8 lakh ransom to buy jewelry. While this case was still under investigation, reports emerged of a similar kidnapping involving Bollywood actor Mushtaq Khan.

The police have arrested five suspects in connection with these cases. CCTV footage showed Sunil Pal’s kidnappers purchasing jewelry, leading to the case gaining traction on social media. Meerut police formed 10 teams to investigate. It was discovered that both Pal and Khan were abducted after landing at Delhi Airport under the guise of attending a show. They were then taken to Bijnor via Meerut.

On Wednesday, police confirmed the arrest of five individuals—three by Bijnor police and two by Meerut police. Efforts are ongoing to locate the Scorpio vehicle used in the abductions, and other suspects are being tracked through intensive raids in both districts.

Late at night, Mumbai police arrived in Meerut to assist local authorities in gathering more details. According to police, Sunil Pal’s phone was last traced to Bijnor on December 2. Both cases share striking similarities, and authorities are working to untangle conflicting statements from the victims and suspects. The investigation continues to uncover the truth behind these bizarre incidents.
