Censor Board Modifications to Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again Ahead of Release

"Major Edits in *Singham Again*: Censor Board Requests Changes to Ramayana References, Dialogues, and Sensitive Scenes Ahead of Film's Release"

Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Kareena Kapoor’s highly anticipated film Singham Again is set to hit theaters soon, and director Rohit Shetty has ramped up its promotions amidst the Diwali festivities. However, recent reports bring some disappointing news for fans eagerly awaiting its release. The Censor Board has made several cuts to Singham Again, reportedly asking for about seven minutes of footage to be modified.

According to sources, certain scenes referencing the Ramayana have raised concerns. In one 23-second visual, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh are portrayed in a manner comparing them to Lord Ram, Sita, and Hanuman, which has been flagged. Another scene shows Singham bowing at Lord Ram’s feet, which the board has also requested to be altered. A scene featuring Arjun Kapoor in a Ravan-like act of aggression towards Kareena Kapoor has been removed entirely.

Additionally, a scene where Lord Hanuman burns Lanka has been cut, and some of Simba’s flirtatious scenes have also been trimmed. The board has asked for four of Arjun Kapoor’s dialogues to be modified and has removed a reference to a neighboring country due to diplomatic sensitivities. Several dialogues by Kareena Kapoor are set to be changed as well. The board has also requested the blurring of a murder scene, a color adjustment on a religious flag, and changes to any references to Ravan.
