“Dilip Joshi vs. Asit Modi on TMKOC Set”
"Reported Argument Over Leave Escalates, Adding to TMKOC's Ongoing Controversies"
The popular TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been entertaining audiences for a long time but has often found itself mired in controversies. Recently, reports have surfaced about a heated altercation between Dilip Joshi, who plays the beloved character Jethalal, and the show’s producer Asit Modi. The situation reportedly escalated to the point of a physical confrontation. Here’s what led to the fallout.
According to media reports, the incident took place in August. Dilip Joshi had approached Asit Modi to request a few days off, but the producer allegedly dismissed the matter. This attitude did not sit well with Joshi, and tensions between the two started to build. The situation escalated on the last day of shooting for Kush Shah, who plays Goli on the show. Joshi was waiting to discuss his leave request, but when Modi arrived, he went straight to meet Kush Shah, ignoring Joshi. This upset the actor, leading to a verbal argument.
Reports suggest the argument grew so heated that Joshi grabbed Modi’s collar in frustration and even threatened to leave the show. However, Modi eventually managed to calm him down.
It’s worth noting that this is not the first time Asit Modi has faced controversies involving the cast. Previously, actors Palak Sindhwani, Jennifer Mistry, and Monika Bhadoriya have also reportedly had disputes with the producer.
