EVIFY Enters EV Charging Infrastructure Space with First Station in Delhi-NCR
Company aims to simplify EV ownership and charging with its dedicated app and expanding network
India’s electric vehicle (EV) market is witnessing rapid growth, leading to an increased demand for charging stations. To cater to this demand, EVIFY (EVFY), a startup specializing in electric automotive solutions, has announced its entry into the EV charging infrastructure space with the launch of its first EV charging station in Delhi-NCR.
Located in Gurugram’s Sector 73, the station features a range of charging options, including 120 kW, 60 kW, and 7.4 kW power outputs, making it suitable for various EV models, from electric scooters and bikes to cars. The station is equipped with dual-gun capability, user interaction, and security features like RFID-enabled digital displays.
India’s public EV charging infrastructure has seen significant growth, expanding from 1,800 stations in February 2022 to 16,347 in March 2024. With an estimated 50 million electric vehicles expected on the road by 2030, the demand for charging stations is set to increase.
EVIFY aims to expand its EV charging network to new areas, including Dwarka Expressway, Airport Area, and New Gurugram. The company plans to install 150 kW ultra-fast chargers and 350 kW hyper-fast chargers in the near future.
According to EVIFY’s co-founder, Rithik Sharma, “Our team at EVIFY is committed to creating an ecosystem that simplifies EV ownership and charging. We will soon launch a dedicated app to make EV chargers more accessible and support the widespread adoption of electric vehicles.”
