Strong Demand Across Urban and Rural Markets Drives 13% Growth; Vida Electric Scooters Reach Record Sales
During the 2024 festive season, Hero MotoCorp achieved impressive sales, moving 1.598 million motorcycles and scooters over a span of just 32 days, which included models from its Vida V1 electric scooter series. It appears that customers eagerly await the festive period, flocking to Hero MotoCorp showrooms from Navratri through Diwali.
In October, Hero MotoCorp saw strong sales not only in urban areas but also in rural regions. The company reported a 13% increase in sales during the festive period compared to last year, marking its highest-ever retail sales in a single festive season. This season began with Navratri.
Commenting on the record-breaking sales, Hero MotoCorp CEO Niranjan Gupta shared that the company achieved its highest festive retail sales for the second consecutive year. He noted strong growth across most regions, with demand from rural markets nearly matching that of urban areas. Gupta expressed optimism for continued sales momentum through the remainder of the year.
In the Indian market, Hero’s Splendor Plus remains popular in the 100cc segment, while the Xtreme 125R is gaining traction in the 125cc category. Additionally, Hero MotoCorp delivered 2,800 units of the Harley-Davidson X440 last month, while its EV brand Vida recorded its highest-ever sales with 11,600 electric scooters sold.
