The much-anticipated Hindi film “The UP Files,” starring Manoj Joshi and Manjari Fadnis, is set to hit theaters on July 26. Produced by Shree Ostwal Films, the movie has generated significant buzz since the release of its trailer, promising a compelling narrative inspired by true events.
Directed by Neeraj Sahai and produced by Kuldeep Umraosingh Ostwal, “The UP Files” delves into real-life incidents with a story and dialogues that deeply resonate with the audience. Director Neeraj Sahai shared his excitement, saying, “In recent years, we have witnessed a brighter Uttar Pradesh. When I discussed this topic with my producer Umrao Singh Ostwal, he immediately approved the story, and we commenced shooting. Now, the entire team is thrilled as the film is set to release on July 26, 2024.”
For the first time in his long career, Manoj Joshi plays a lead role, bringing to life a character inspired by the transformation of Uttar Pradesh. He commented, “Cinema is a mirror of society. The writer was naturally inspired by the personality who eradicated the goonda raj and transformed UP into a state of enterprise. I felt this while shooting in Lucknow, Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Ayodhya.”
The film features a talented cast including Avtar Gill, Ali Asgar, Shahbaz Khan, Milind Gunaji, Aman Verma, Ashok Samarth, and Anil George. With music composed by Dilip Sen and choreography by Ganesh Acharya, “The UP Files” was shot in UP, Jammu, Mumbai, and Rajasthan. The production team includes Gautam Rai as production head, Bhavesh Jain as production controller, and Vishnu Nishad as art director and production designer. UFO Movies will distribute the film across India.
