Mukesh Khanna Slams Bollywood Stars for Endorsing Harmful Products in Explosive Instagram Post
"The 'Shaktimaan' actor criticizes celebrities like Ajay Devgn and Mahesh Manjrekar for promoting products like pan masala and online gambling, questioning their social responsibility."
Once again, Mukesh Khanna, known for his role in ‘Shaktimaan,’ has taken a dig at Bollywood’s big superstars. This isn’t the first time he’s made such a remark, but this time, in a lengthy post, he’s called them out even more strongly. Mukesh Khanna has targeted stars like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Mahesh Manjrekar for endorsing products like tobacco, gutka, and online games like Rummy. He criticized them for appearing in these high-paying ads. Let’s take a look at what Mukesh Khanna had to say.
Mukesh Khanna shared a long post on Instagram on Friday. The post featured a picture of Ajay Devgn promoting a pan masala brand and Mahesh Manjrekar endorsing a rummy game. He wrote over the photo, “Enough with these formalities, enough with this madness. Will anyone put an end to this???”
In the caption, he wrote, “Has the world of advertisements become all about money and glamour? Throw money, watch the show! Is that the new rule? Give them money, and they’ll say anything. Is the sole purpose of these models and actors just to make money?”
He further questioned, “Have celebrities lost their conscience, their sense of responsibility towards society, and the youth? Even if something is harmful, they still promote it as good. This has become their new religion, simply because they’re getting paid a hefty amount. How much money do you need, when you already have more than enough?”
Mukesh Khanna clarified who he was referring to. He said, “Yes, I’m talking about these big stars. The ad makers have become like ringmasters, and the artists are dancing to their tune like monkeys. Be it saffron pan masala, wild rummy games, or gutka and alcohol – they’re saying anything without verifying the credibility of the product! Why? Because they’re being paid huge sums in the name of their fee.”
In conclusion, Mukesh Khanna questioned why such celebrities don’t think about society, the youth, and health. How much harm is being caused because of these endorsements? Why is no one raising their voice against this? Neither the government, nor the police, nor the various social media platforms.
