Sanam Teri Kasam 2 Officially Announced, Harshvardhan Rane Set to Return

Sequel confirmed with Harshvardhan Rane in the lead; search for director underway as the original film gears up for re-release

The much-anticipated sequel to the Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane-starrer Sanam Teri Kasam was officially announced on September 10. Harshvardhan Rane is set to reprise his role as the lead, while the search for a director is currently underway.

An official spokesperson confirmed the news, stating, “We are thrilled to announce that Sanam Teri Kasam 2 is officially happening, with Harshvardhan Rane returning as the lead. The story has been finalized, but the director is yet to be decided. Soham Rockstar Entertainment is committed to choosing a visionary director who can bring the sequel to life, meeting the high expectations of our audience.”

Harshvardhan Rane expressed his excitement, saying, “Returning to Sanam Teri Kasam feels like reconnecting with an old friend. The love and connection the audience has shown over the years are humbling. I’m excited to be working with Deepak Mukut sir again, and we are crafting a sequel that will honor the original while exploring new and exciting directions.”

The sequel will be backed by Soham Rockstar Entertainment, with producer Deepak Mukut at the helm. He shared, “We have locked an exceptional story for Sanam Teri Kasam 2, and we are dedicated to creating a sequel that will deeply resonate with fans.”

In celebration of the original film’s legacy, Sanam Teri Kasam will be re-released in October. The film has grown into a classic over the years, with audiences connecting deeply with its emotional narrative and the chemistry between Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, despite its initial box office failure.

Meanwhile, the original directors, Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, are currently working on another love story titled Janam Terii Kasam, featuring Himesh Reshammiya.
