Actor Mansoor Ali Khan’s son Arrested in Drug Case

"Mansoor Ali Khan's son among 10 arrested; Tamil Nadu emerges as drug trafficking hub."

Kollywood actor Mansoor Ali Khan, known for playing villainous roles, is in the spotlight after his son, Ali Khan Tughlaq, was arrested along with nine others for allegedly possessing and selling drugs. The arrest was made on Wednesday following an extensive investigation by the Tirumangalam police into a drug trafficking case.

The police launched the probe after receiving intelligence linking Tughlaq to individuals involved in drug trade activities. Recently, authorities arrested multiple suspects in connection with the drug smuggling network, including college students. Tughlaq was apprehended along with Syed Saki, Mohammed Riyas Ali, and Faisal Ahmed, and all four are now in police custody for further questioning.

Tamil Nadu has reported several cases related to international drug syndicates smuggling banned substances to countries like Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Australia, where there is high demand. Local police and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) have heightened vigilance, given the use of Tamil Nadu as a transit hub. Chennai police recently arrested a foreign national believed to be the mastermind behind a methamphetamine smuggling ring in the region. In a related case, the Arumbakkam police detained 12 individuals, including a suspect named Philip.

Mansoor Ali Khan is a well-known villain in South Indian cinema and recently appeared alongside stars like Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha Krishnan in the blockbuster film Leo. Earlier this year, Mansoor courted controversy for making inappropriate comments about actress Trisha. In a viral video, he remarked in Tamil:

“When I heard I was acting with Trisha, I thought there might be a bedroom scene, as I’ve done in previous films with other actresses. I’ve portrayed several rape scenes, so it wouldn’t be new to me. But during the shoot in Kashmir, I didn’t even get to see Trisha on set.”

Trisha responded sharply, calling his remarks offensive, misogynistic, and disgraceful. She stated, “I am grateful I never had to share screen space with someone like him and will ensure I never do so in the future. People like him are a blot on humanity.”
