Government School Students Set for All-India Educational Tours: Adventure and Learning Beyond Classrooms
"PM SHRI Schools to Offer Students Hands-On Experience with Nature, Adventure Activities, and Educational Exploration Across India"
Recently, many government schools in the country have started being upgraded to PM SHRI Schools. This news gives an insight into the kind of learning experience students might have in these schools. You may already know about educational tours that many schools organize for students. But imagine how wide-ranging this could be. Think about government school students being taken on an All-India tour, where they would learn swimming, horse riding, and trekking.
With such a plan in mind, students studying in government schools will be taken on educational tours. The entire schedule for this has already been released. Speaking of Haryana, around 3,500 students from PM SHRI Schools are set to go on these tours. They will visit places like Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, and Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, where they will participate in educational and fun activities.
On this tour, students will have the opportunity to study plants, leaves, mountains, seas, forests, waterfalls, deserts, as well as the flora and fauna of these regions. Additionally, according to the project guidelines from the Directorate of Education, students will be required to write about their firsthand experiences in a notebook as soon as they return from the tour. Each student will write about what they learned, what they found interesting, where they visited, and the special features of each place in 250-300 words.
The tour will begin on October 23. In the first phase, students will visit Pachmarhi from October 23 to October 29, followed by Jaisalmer from November 5 to November 11, and then from November 6 to November 10, and from November 12 to November 16. The tour to Kerala will take place from December 25 to December 29, and the schedule has already been issued.
Students will enjoy activities like climbing mountains, swimming, horse riding, camel riding, and more, all under the supervision of experts. The goal is to help students learn not just from textbooks and curricula but also about the mysteries of nature. Students from grades 9 to 12 will be part of this initiative, and registrations are currently underway
