Maruti Suzuki Dzire Achieves Historic 5-Star Safety Rating

Maruti Suzuki’s new Dzire has made history! You might be wondering what exactly the fourth-generation model of Dzire has accomplished, especially since it hasn’t even been launched in India yet. Well, the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire is set to launch next week on November 11. Ahead of its release, the car was voluntarily tested by Global NCAP, achieving an impressive 5-star rating in adult occupant protection and 4 stars in child occupant protection.

This makes the new Dzire Maruti Suzuki’s first car in India to secure an overall 5-star safety rating in Global NCAP’s crash tests. For a long time, Maruti’s image was such that safety wasn’t a strong focus, with most models only achieving a 0-4 star rating. This 5-star rating on the Dzire has boosted the company’s morale and raises the potential for more Maruti Suzuki cars to achieve high safety ratings in the future.

As for the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire, it is a complete upgrade over the previous model, featuring a redesigned grille and bumper, new headlamps and tail lamps, stylish alloy wheels, a 1.2-liter G-series 3-cylinder engine, and impressive fuel efficiency of 25.71 km/l in petrol and 33.73 km/kg in CNG. It also boasts a refreshed interior, a 9-inch updated touchscreen infotainment system, electric sunroof, 360-degree camera, and standard 6 airbags along with various other safety and standard features. The Dzire will be available in seven colors: Red, Brown, Blue, Black, Gray, White, and Silver.
