Pushpa 2 Song Kisik Faces Fan Backlash Despite Trending Online

Fans Criticize Lyrics and Music; Song Garners Over 11 Million Views Amid Controversy

The much-awaited film Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, recently released its song Kisik. While the first film, Pushpa: The Rise, gained nationwide fame with the hit song Oo Antava, fans have expressed disappointment with Kisik. They criticized its lyrics and music, stating it failed to live up to expectations.

Allu Arjun announced the release of Kisik on his official Instagram account, but the song has drawn heavy criticism. Fans, who hoped it would rival Oo Antava, shared their frustration online. Comments ranged from “This is the worst song, completely ruined expectations” to “Oo Antava was a million times better.” Some users went as far as saying the song might damage the movie’s reputation, with one remarking, “Why make this stupid song? Couldn’t they come up with something better?” Others expressed hope that the film wouldn’t mirror the quality of the song.

Despite the trolling, the Hindi lyrical version of Kirik, released on T-Series’ YouTube channel, has garnered over 11 million views and is trending at number 4. The song has also been frequently searched on Google, further boosting its visibility.

Pushpa 2: The Rule will release on December 5 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam, making it the first Pan-India film to release in Bengali. It will be available in multiple formats, including Standard, 3D, IMAX, 4DX, and D-BOX. Initially scheduled for release on August 15, 2024, it was postponed to December due to delays in completing the shoot.

The film features a stellar cast, including Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, and Prakash Raj, and is made on a massive ₹500 crore budget.
