"Govinda's Licensed Revolver Misfires, Hits Him in the Leg; Doctors Successfully Remove Bullet, Actor Out of Danger"
Actor Govinda was accidentally shot at his Juhu residence in Mumbai on Tuesday around 4:45 AM. The incident occurred when Govinda was cleaning his licensed revolver before leaving home, and it misfired, hitting him in the knee. According to media reports, the actor is currently admitted to the ICU, where doctors have successfully removed the bullet. His manager, Shashi Sinha, assured everyone that Govinda is out of danger, and there’s no need for concern.
Fans were deeply worried after hearing the news. Govinda’s manager clarified to ANI that the actor, who is also a Shiv Sena leader, was getting ready to leave for Kolkata when the incident happened. He had just placed the revolver in the closet, but it slipped from his hands, discharging a round that hit him in the leg. Thankfully, the doctors have taken care of the wound, and his condition is stable. Govinda is currently receiving treatment at CritiCare Hospital.
Sinha added, “It is by God’s grace that Govinda only sustained an injury to his leg.” He emphasized that the situation is not critical. Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, who was in Kolkata at the time, is now on her way back to Mumbai, while their daughter is with him at the hospital. The manager mentioned that it will take a day or two for the wound to heal before Govinda can be discharged. Govinda, who has been away from the big screen for quite some time, joined the Shiv Sena party earlier this year.
