Sayani Gupta Opens Up on Exploitation During Intimate Scenes

Actress Sayani Gupta recently shared a shocking experience related to bold and intimate scenes during an interview. She revealed how female actors often face challenges while shooting such scenes, and in some instances, male co-actors exploit the situation.

Sayani narrated an incident where a co-actor continued kissing her even after the director had called “cut” during the shoot of an intimate scene. Speaking about the experience, she said, “Many people take advantage of intimate scenes. An actor should never behave this way.”

Uncomfortable and Unsafe Moments

Sayani also shared another instance that made her feel deeply uncomfortable. During the first season of “Four More Shots Please,” she had to lie on the sand near the sea wearing a short dress. She recalled, “There were around 70 people from the crew present, and I felt extremely unsafe because there was no one else apart from them.”

She highlighted another incident involving a day when a shoot required 800 extra artists on set. Sayani said, “The staff was limited, and I felt like I needed a shawl for comfort. But often, in the rush of shooting, safety concerns are overlooked. It’s not just intimate scenes; sometimes, compromises are made on personal boundaries, which reflects a mindset that needs to change.”

Sayani emphasized that ensuring safety and respect on sets is crucial and that the industry needs to address these issues with urgency.
